Making Dreams Achievable

We all have dreams, right? Some dream of having a lot of money, others dream of visiting a lot of places, there are those who dream to find love and those who dream of going into space. Dreams are a good thing, but they do us no good, until we turn them into goals. What is the difference between a dream and a goal, you may ask. It's simple: dreams are an illusion, something you imagine happening, but don't do anything for, and a goal is something you fight to achieve. A goal is something real. So after we've clarified this boring terminology stuff, let's get into the topic:

Before you start...

"I want to be an actor!" - that's something I said to my mother some time ago. "Okay, that's great - she replied. - What will you do about it?" That's the moment I froze. I had no idea what I had to do! I knew I wanted to be an actor, but I never thought about how can I achieve it. To turn you're dreams into reality the first step is: Google. Yeah, that's right - Google. If you have no idea how to start working for your dreams, just sit comfortably in your bed, grab your laptop and start googling. As simple as that. After half an hour, I guarantee you'll either have (at least)your first step or you'll have already given up on making this dream a goal.

You can't grow peaches in a desert

So you have your plan already? Time to get down to business. No one archives their dreams easily. But if there is one thing that kills a dream, that has just began to grow, that is a toxic environment. I'm talking about family, who try to discourage you, friends, who tell you, that you're dreaming too big, partner who tells you, that you're "acting stupid"... That's some harsh words, but I'll tell it: Cut those people off! Not only they are not helping you to grow as a person, but they're stoping you, from doing it yourself. But be careful, you don't need people who'll seemingly support you, no matter what you do, you need people who believe in you, but are also not afraid to tell you, when you're wrong. Cut off the toxic people, cut off the hypocrites, who are telling you, that whatever you're doing is alright. You may be left alone for a time, but you'll find new people, who'll empower you at some point. I guarantee that!

Don't forget that the turtle was faster than the rabbit in the end

So, you're already working on achieving your dream, but it seems to be going slow. There's such a great deal of people, who are better than you. Don't get discouraged! Just sit down and think, where you were last year, or five years ago, or a month ago. You'll certainly find that you've made good progress, because when someone pursues something with vigor and enthusiasm, they progress really fast. The most important thing is not to let yourself give up. You have to be stubborn and never stop pushing forward. We all like movies about heroes, and there is a moment in every single superhero movie, where the hero feels down, everything seems impossible, but he/she stands up and continues fighting, although it seems pointless. That's the way we should follow our goals. Blood, sweat and tears... That's the recipe, no matter if you're going after the perfect body, trying to start your dream business, being famous, making it big on the scene or just self improvement. Plan it, create the right environment, don't give up!
